Serbian galleries at the Art Market Budapest 2022

Eight art galleries from Belgrade, Novi Sad and Kragujevac will take part at MOST SERBIA, this year’s focal event at the international art fair Art Market Budapest, which takes place between 4th and 9th of October 2022 at the Budapest Whale (Bálna). Galleries Bel Art, X VITAMIN, ŠTAB, Rima, Novembar, B2, Monolog and Sanjaj will present a selection of modern and contemporary Serbian art through specially curated programmes, showing diversity and dynamics of the art scene in Serbia.

In addition to the gallery exhibitions, Serbian art museums will be showcased with the exhibition The World of Mira Brtka at the Q Contemporary in association with the Foundation Mira Brtka; a selection from the private collection of Nenad M. Kostić at the Gabor M. Szoka Studio; an exhibition of artists from Vojvodina who live and work in Hungary at the Magyar Muhely gallery; and the photography exhibition and symposium Liminal lens within Art Photo Budapest. The future role of Serbian contemporary art in the international art context will be the topic of one of the panels at the Art Market Budapest, hosting several local and foreign experts.

MOST SERBIA was realised by the Association of Art Galleries of Serbia, a non-governmental and non-profit professional association founded with the intention of promotion and development of gallery practice. This significant and comprehensive presentation of the Serbian contemporary art scene was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, and the Secretariat for Culture of the City of Belgrade.
