"Process. The shaping process and the thinking process, which are two inseparable aspects of the creation of a sculpture. The first refers to the technological part of making - casting, mold making, shaping. Kuzmanović pays great attention to this technical aspect, and it is not unimportant that it is a significant part of his own artistic and professional practices to his artistic workshop on the Danube, which has become a platform for artists from the region to practice making sculpture. locations and purposes. The second aspect relates to the theoretical consideration of the creation of the sculpture, its role and meaning. The process of thinking cannot be separated from the design process, just as it cannot be separated from the choice of motifs or materials thinking about the space in which the sculpture is located, which it occupies, which surrounds it... For Kuzmanović, each sculpture represents a dive into the air, that is, into a space that is perceived as the sculpture's negative. In his earlier works, Kuzmanović also dealt with the negative, the reverse side, the print, whereby for him the voids in the print have the same potential and treatment as the fullness in the cast sculpture. Now the space itself has become an imprint of the work, like some imaginary, assumed mold that becomes an integral part of the sculpture only after it is finished and placed in front of the viewer. Hollows and slits, convex and recessed surfaces, fullness or emptiness of the material, become the backbone of thinking about the three-dimensional form in space, and about the space around that form, in it, or outside it."

This is what art historian Ivana Benović writes about the publication "ZORAN KUZMANOVIĆ", published by ARTE gallery in 2015.
