DAMNJAN

The exhibition DAMNJAN - PAINTING / DAMNJAN – MALEREI was held in the Thalberg Gallery in Zurich in 2019. The focus was on Damnjan's international success. In the catalog of the exhibition, there is an accompanying text by the art historian Ješa Denegri.

Acting in two social environments, in Serbia and Italy, first separately, and then simultaneously, Damnjan developed and realized his fundamental artistic views and positions in two different cultural contexts. But from the beginning he believed that contemporary art and some of its expressive languages ​​should be acceptable and understandable everywhere and to the same extent, that contemporary art is essentially global and international, with the obligation of each individual artist to strive for the realization of his individual artistic physiognomy precisely in under such conditions. That Damnjan has proven this time and again in his artistic practice is also confirmed by his numerous performances on the international stage, the latest of which is this exhibition of a selection of characteristic and valuable examples from his entire artistic oeuvre."
