Arte
ARTE Media d.o.o. was founded in 2006, since then it has been actively and successfully engaged in collecting, exhibiting, publishing, and selling works of art, as well as mediation and consulting in the field of culture. ARTE bases its artistic program on high-quality works by representative authors of Serbian and Yugoslav modern and contemporary art, presenting a rich collection of paintings, drawings, graphics, sculptures, and objects of applied art, dating from the end of the 19th century to the present day. The selection of works represents a kind of chronological review of the most significant trends in the art of the 20th century, equally giving space to contemporary artistic practices. Nevertheless, the gallery is primarily oriented towards the fine arts of the second half of the 20th century. and on the so-called mainstream artists who belonged to influential artistic movements and trends (the December group, Mediača, Enformel, New Figuration).
ARTE gallery, part of the Arte Media company, includes exhibition and sales spaces in the old center of Belgrade (Andrićev venac 12, Svetogorska 29, Kralja Milana 48), and one in Arandjelovac (Hotel Izvor).
In the past 15 years, more than 50 exhibitions have been organized, which are accompanied by a catalog, and larger exhibitions are accompanied by study monographs, all written by prominent art historians and art critics of these areas. This combination of exhibitions and publications provides the audience with a deep and thorough understanding of works of art, which is quite rare in the world of contemporary publishing. The works published in our publications are often not available to the public and are not found in other existing publications. It is for this reason that our publications play an important role in the preservation and popularization of works of art that are otherwise difficult to access, and also significantly contribute to the development of critical and analytical thinking about art. The exhibitions promoted and informed about the work of the greats of domestic art as well as younger artists and were accompanied by media attention, which additionally affirms the raising of cultural awareness.
ARTE Gallery has been intensively engaged in auction activity since December 2009. In the past few years, we have even organized two annual exhibitions, spring and New Year's. In addition to the auction, our occupation extends to many other fields of cultural activity. Our team, made up of art historians and art managers, provides services for assessing the authenticity and market value of works of art. For the needs of clients, Arte provides assistance in choosing works to form an art collection - a private collection.
In 2014, ARTE expanded its activity beyond the borders of Serbia by opening an exhibition space in the heart of Zurich. The Thalberg Gallery, specializing in modern and contemporary European and American art, is located near the large Swiss museum Kunsthaus.
Thalberg & Arte gallery was created by connecting the Thalberg gallery from Zurich and ARTE galleries from Belgrade. The gallery's business strategy is focused on presentation artists from the former Yugoslavia, with an emphasis on activities from the 1960s onwards. The gallery also promotes the contemporary regional and international scene.
